Blatant Skepticism.

Made this months ago for my painting class final.

I wanted to capture that one look that you know a person for.

And this is the one I know my mother for.
Always skeptical, always an infinitely strong woman.





Originally, the background was totally wacked out and not..good for this particular portrait. Ah ha. It was some textured window in a colorful pallet-knifed room.

Looked too much like a prison cell and took too much focus off of the portrait itself.

So I simplified it.
