Emotional Drought

So, this was made for my collage project in painting.

[it's a collage due to the fact that I used multiple reference photos in order to create this.]

I honestly had other ideas for this particular project, but when it came to talking about my ideas, my painting teacher [who I truly butt heads with, I might add ] said that I should make a second version of the painting I made for my self portrait [ [link] ].

The idea that I connect myself with ivy, or vines in general. My thought processes can be so..destructive..and it's been a long time coming.

This, albeit, not as finished as I would have liked [as they usually turn out ], I feel accurately represents the stage within my anxiety attacks where I feel so..emotionally drained..that eventually, I just become..apathetic.

Shoot.
It's hard for me to focus on writing this description.
My roommate is playing jungle book songs.

I would eventually like to make this longer.
Add another wood panel down in order to thicken and expand the vines. That was the only critique that I feel was really helpful, and something I could play off of, that was not a technical critique. There are plenty of those I know that I can fix. [my rigid man arms, for example.] But at any rate.
